Friends, I believe we all carry a common desire, a common passion. We want to see the church of Jesus Christ in this Nation arise to become an empowered and accurate representation of Jesus! We long for people to respond to the gospel and know the power of His redemptive love.
We want to see the Holy Spirit’s miraculous work demonstrated, the Son’s redemptive work accepted and the Father’s loving heart revealed and embraced. We want to see The Church Triumphant living gloriously; bringing salvation and deliverance to the Nation we love.
For most of us we have a resolve: we want this year to be more effective than last year, we want to walk closer to God and bear fruit more abundantlyWe have a desire to see God’s favour and empowerment more greatly manifested in our personal lives and in our families and churches, in our towns and communities.
We read books by those who we deem successful and we attend conferences to listen to those who seem to get it right. Why? Because we are men and women of destiny and there is an urgency in our hearts to accomplish what God has placed us on the planet to do.
And yet, no matter how passionately we want to see all of this take place, it is but a minute percentage of the passion with which the Father, Himself, holds that desire.
So the question then is: Who or what is it that will command the increased favour and empowerment of God on our lives and our churches? What is it that God is looking for that will attract His increased involvement?
I want to address this over the next several weeks but, for now, let me say that God ALWAYS responds to a hunger and passion that is motivated to honour Him and His Word.
