Who or what is it that will command the increased favour and empowerment of God on our lives and our churches? What is it that God is looking for that will attract His increased involvement?
Our traditional response is that “God looks for a man or a woman”. We teach that throughout history God begins by raising up a special person: a General Booth, a Charles Wesley, a Billy Graham, a Joyce Meyer. We declare that God’s method is always a man or a woman.
But is this, in fact, the way it really is? I’m going to rock that boat today!
I believe that, on a personal basis, God looks for a person’s heart so that He can have personal, individual relationship with that person – but that is His Heart as a Father with His children. Do not confuse that with the calling He then places upon you to bring about His Kingdom, His will done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Friends, that is our Commission.
What is it then that He, and this nation, awaits before it can become a reality, and this Nation experiences a miraculous redemptive visitation?
Isaiah 55:10-11
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
What a powerful unconditional declaration.
What is the key to this Nation seeing the Risen Christ accurately represented in and through His people? I believe the answer is in three parts: (It will take some of you by surprise, but I truly believe God spoke it into my heart.)
1. The Word of God enforced – the prayer and proclamation of those who know their authority to rule.
2. The Word of God revealed – so that all humanity can see it.
3. The Word of God honoured – releasing its indisputable authority.
The result being the empowerment of the church in this nation.
