Course Overview
This is a course about the true nature of Christian leadership.
The purpose of this course is to see a generation of leaders for whom no amount of God-invested authority or power will prove too great. It is to see leaders whose character foundations are strong enough to support their gifts in a world where casualties are all too frequent.
Does God really have a destiny for your life? We believe He does.
Together we will look at what a sense of destiny can produce. Knowing that God has a destiny for you (in other words, a plan and a purpose) is one thing, but how do we possess our destiny? God wants you to fulfil your destiny – He authored it, but your enemy does not want you to fulfil it and he will do whatever it takes to knock you off course. We will look at this together including some of the more subtle issues that can abort God’s plan in your life.
This course, and your life, is ultimately about intimacy with God and character. One Senior Minister has said that this course is a ‘deep surgery of the soul’. The purpose of this course is to honestly look at what motivates us and what are some of the spiritual laws that are often overlooked due to an unhealthy focus on tangible results. Results in ministry are important but the end does not justify the means. God is interested in who you are, not just what you accomplish. Because it is who you are that determines the level of authority He can entrust to you in the days ahead.
We spend time looking specifically at a number of character qualities and their impact on both the individual and the Church. We will get really practical on how these character qualities are evident and also what the lack of them will produce.
