Watch the invasion of Heaven!

It was one of those ‘aha’ moments! One of our team, Helen Calder, was sharing with us about her new book, ‘Prophetic Worship: Develop Your Ministry of Encounter‘ and the Lord reminded me of a scene from a movie seen many years ago.

In this movie there was a portal; a gateway to a planet many light years away by normal travel, but instantly accessible through the portal. The scene was one of incredible urgency as they tried to close the portal before an invasion took place from that distant planet.

In my ‘aha’ moment, the Lord reminded me of 2 Chronicles 20, when Jehoshaphat commanded the singers to go before the army and God gave them a great victory. He said to me, ‘praise is a portal!’
The walls of Jericho fell as the priests blew their trumpets and the people of God gave a shout of victory (Joshua 6). Praise opens a portal! It literally opens a gateway between the world of the seen and the world of the unseen.

Praise allows the invasion of heaven on earth. The throne of God, the presence of God, the battalions of angels, the indescribable authority of that realm, all gain access into our world through the portal of praise! When Paul and Silas were in prison, they sang their worship. The earthquake that opened the doors of the prison was simply an invasion of the supernatural, that gained access to their environment through the portal opened by their praise.

My friends, next time you are presented with an impossibility, open up that portal and watch the invasion of Heaven!

Love and God bless,

How to Win the Battle with God’s Help

Sitting on my desk, there is a bronze plaque of David, as a teenage shepherd, hurling his stone at the huge Goliath standing before him. The words on the plaque are: ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!’

The difference in their physical size and their apparent readiness for war is dramatically displayed. Goliath is gigantic, covered with steel, and every inch a man skilled in battle. David is small, with only a slingshot and no armour at all! One looks very well prepared for the event and the other, totally unprepared.

And yet, in truth, the one that is actually prepared for that moment is the young shepherd. David has had a revelation of the greatness of his God and deep inside of him he carries the conviction: ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!’

Generations before those words of Jesus would be recorded, this young man—David—knew that there was no force upon the Earth that was equal to the supernatural empowerment of the Holy Spirit.

The size of your giant is irrelevant! The weapons that he possesses are irrelevant! There is simply no contest when one stands for God, empowered by Him! We are not called to walk in the power of our own ability; we are called to be a supernatural people.

Three things I know about Father’s intention for your future:
1) If it is to possess new territory and be fruitful, it will be opposed by giants
2) No matter how gifted and skilled you are, your humanity will not be enough, and
3) Empowered by the supernatural force of the Holy Spirit;T\m(l)_vm2come every giant and celebrate the fall of each one, as you possess your destiny!

May your hunger to know Him better ever increase your understanding of HIS greatness.

Love and God bless,
